Frequently Asked Questions

Question: I’m parched quite frequently, so I think this probably means I should drink more water. Does that sound correct?

Answer: It sounds like you may be dealing with an oral health problem we call dry mouth. This may be the result of an inadequate amount of water intake. Or, it could be the result of many other factors. Drink more water to see if it helps. If not, give us a call.

Question: I know that I don’t drink enough water every day. I prefer drinking bottled or filtered water but I find that purchasing individual bottles is too expensive and wasteful. Have any tips?

Answer: Yes! Consider purchasing a reusable, BPA-free water bottle. Then, purchase a water filter for your faucet, a filtered pitcher, or some other system that produces less waste.

Question: I have a hard time figuring out whether I’m doing a good job with my water intake. I know I should get about 64 ounces daily to keep my oral health safe (and my general health, too), but it’s hard to track. What should I do?

Answer: Find a water bottle with measurements on it. Track it by filling it up a certain amount of times daily until you’ve hit your goal.
