Just broke your tooth? Do not wait to call us. Instead, contact us immediately. We will do our best to schedule an appointment for you with great urgency, so we can address your tooth.

Steps for Dealing With A Broken Tooth

  1. Gather the pieces. Don’t throw the pieces away! Instead, if you can collect them, do so.
  2. Place the pieces of your tooth in a sealed container. A plastic bag or plastic container or anything else that is clean and airtight will do. Bring this with you to your visit.
  3. Contact a friend or loved one if you feel too shaken up to drive yourself to our office.

What To Expect

Your tooth may have broken as the result of a variety of causes. For a tooth suffering from minor breakage, we may be able to provide you with an inlay or onlay. An inlay is a restoration that replaces tooth tissue lost between your cusps – an onlay restores damaged cusp tissue or tissue down the side of your tooth. Severe breakage may require the placement of a dental crown. A break that leaves too little tooth tissue to save may require an extraction and tooth replacement. Rest assured, we will also address underlying causes, such as tooth decay or infection, if they contributed to the damage.
