This New Year’s, Take a Trip back to the 1940’s

If you want to ring in 2015 in a truly memorable way, get your tickets for Pegasus Theatre’s Another Murder, Another Show. Playing at the Eisemann Center in Richardson, the show is a bit of a jaunt from Southlake, but the innovative concept and uproarious fun are well worth the drive. Another Murder, Another Show follows Harry Hunsacker, actor turned detective, and his assistant, Nigel. While they are rehearsing for the Wally’s, theatre’s biggest awards night, a murder takes place. Harry and Nigel must adopt a series of disguises to frighten the murderer and make him think that several well-known lawmen are about to make their final arrest.

Living Black and WhiteTM

What makes the show unique is not the plot, but the design. Pegasus has its own proprietary Living Black and WhiteTM method. The theatre uses special makeup, paint, lighting, and costumes to make everything look like a black and white movie – including the actors’ hands and faces! The design technique is combined with a heightened acting style to make you feel like you are living inside a movie from the 1930’s or1940’s. The New Year’s Eve show merges the past with a celebration of the future. Cake and champagne will be served in the lobby after the show.

About Pegasus Theatre

Pegasus Theatre is officially an established part of the DFW cultural scene. Founded by Kurt Kleinmann and Barbara Weinburger, the theatre performed at a space on Main Street in Dallas for 17 years. After co-producing an off-Broadway show in 2002, the theatre went on hiatus for two years. In 2006, it returned with a bang, producing Mind over Muder! at the Eisemann Center. The show was in the company’s signature Living Black and WhiteTM style. This technique has been perfected over the years through meticulous research and experimentation.

Although the company is best known for its black and white shows, that is not all they do. Pegasus Theatre is dedicated to producing new and established comedies, using local actors, designers, and directors. During the rest of the year, the company performs at Bath House Cultural Center, a small venue on White Rock Lake in East Dallas.

Another Murder, Another Show opens New Year’s Eve and runs through January 25, 2015. Tickets are available at www.eisemanncenter.com.
