Relying On Porcelain Veneers

As you may already know, veneers are an extremely powerful treatment within cosmetic care. They are strong enough for long-term use and very natural looking. They offer effective improvement for issues with tooth length, texture concerns like erosion, tooth width, and they can cover up discoloration. In today’s case, we were able to successfully use veneers for the majority of our patient’s needs for beautifully improved teeth. However, the darkened tooth proved too discolored for veneers. This is where the crown came in!

Porcelain Crowns

Patients often think of porcelain crowns as something that only comes up when serious dental damage has occurred. However, we are fortunate that they play a role within cosmetic care. When something like severe staining needs fixing, a porcelain crown offers the next level of coverage that promotes a gorgeous, natural finish. Then, of course, with the help of a master ceramicist we are more than pleased to have the honor of working with, we were able to use both a dental crown and veneers for an exceptional finish. Our patient went home with a smile that looked like her smile, just with some attractive improvements.
