Birding at the Beds in Arlington: January 8

About 30 minutes from Southlake, you can meet up with members of the Fort Worth Audubon Society in the parking lot of the Dunlop Sports Center on the south side of Green Oaks Blvd. between Davis Dr. and Fielder Rd. for birding together. Meet at 7:15 am, and please dress for the weather conditions that day. After birding in that parking lot, the group will move across the street to Village Creek Drying Beds, from approximately 8:30 to 11:00. Trinity River Audubon Center Early Morning Hikes: Jan. 4, 11, 18, 25

Trinity River Audubon Center is located south of downtown Dallas, in the 6,000-acre Great Trinity Forest. A tremendous variety of plants and animals can be found living in this hardwood forest area. The center hosts night time and early morning guided birding hikes. Hikers meet at 7:15 am at the front desk, at 6500 Great Trinity Forest Way, Dallas, TX 75217. Upcoming dates are Saturdays: Jan. 4, 11, 18 and 25. Ticket are $15 for non-members if purchased in advance. Coffee is provided, binoculars are available to borrow, if you don’t have your own.
