This patient came to me wanting to close the spacing that she had with her front teeth. Her options were to use porcelain veneers, or composite direct bonding veneers. She has a son who is about to enter college, and the finances were not in place to do porcelain at this time, so the choice was made to use direct bonded composite. This treatment was all superficial, so no preparation of her natural tooth structure was required making this treatment very conservative. The composite looks great, and at some point down the road she can switch to porcelain, or even remove and redo the composite. Elective treatment sometimes has to fit into the financial grand scheme of life, and I am glad we were able to effectively reach her goals using a less costly procedure. Great smile!
